Fairy fort in Garranes, County Cork: a 28.7m earthen arc, partly buried or dumped over, still bends the field boundary as if the line beneath mattered more than the grass above. People may have lived there, marked it, or avoided it; the ground keeps the shape while memory thins.

In pasture, on N-facing slope. Arc (C 28.7m) formed by fosse (D 1.2m) WSW->NE, with inner bank (int. H 0.4m) surviving to NNW for short section. Dumped material replaces bank W->NW. Field boundary curves to respect arc to W and N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
