Fairy fort in Farranthomas, County Cork: a 38 m earthen ring on a gentle north-facing pasture slope, still marked by a slight kink in the field fence. Ó Ríordáin wrote in 1933 that a lios was once there but had become scarcely distinguishable, which fits what remains: a shallow breath of a fort, half forgotten by grass and rain. People may have lived inside it, excluded others from it, or simply avoided stepping across its unseen edge.

In pasture, on gentle N-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 38m) defined by undulation to N, E and S, running inside slight kink in field-fence to S. Locally known as 'fort'. According to Ó Ríordáin (1933, 60) 'there was once a lios, but the remains are now scarcely distinguishable'.
