Mortons and fairies both wanted the drumlin, so neither admits the other. That is why the ring keeps its shape under bracken instead of collapsing into ordinary field. A thirty metre circle is large enough to exclude a person, small enough to belong to someone, and the missing middle is where the story lives.

Situated on a low NW-SE drumlin ridge. This is an overgrown circular area (diam. c. 30m) defined by an intermittently visible scarp (H 0.25m) and slight evidence of a waterlogged fosse.
