What is recorded here

No wall remains, no ditch shows, and no local memory marks the spot. The survey lists a circular ringfort in level pastureland west of the Laune river, yet the land has taken back its shape. What is left is a absence that refuses to be forgotten, a fort erased so completely it becomes a question rather than a ruin.

There is no apparent surface trace of the circular univallate enclosure marked at this location on the first edition of the OS map. The site is not remembered locally. It was located in level pastureland a short distance W of the Laune river. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
