Fairy fort in Ballytrasna, County Galway: a worn earth ring on an east-facing grass slope, with two banks and a ditch between them. A field wall has cut through part of the circle, and another ringfort lies about three hundred metres to the west. The name suggests people once placed it outside ordinary human life, yet its shape is plainly made for living, working or defending.

On an E-facing slope in grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (N-S 36.5m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank and fosse survive from S through W to N. The outer bank is visible only from NW to NNW. A field wall Cuts the monument at WSW and NW. A ringfort (GA029-029----) lies c. 300m to W.
