Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballymakegoge

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Ballymakegoge holds a fairy fort, an earthen ringfort built by human hands but named for the unseen tenants who never left. The ridge still stands against time, marking a boundary where ordinary law thins and memory deepens. People may have lived there, feared there, or simply avoided the place because the soil itself seemed occupied.
