Fairy fort in Ballycurrany West is a rough circular earthwork, 32 metres wide and 4 metres high inside, set in pasture on a south-facing slope with an entrance to the southeast. People may have lived there, excluded others, or simply marked the landscape before leaving it behind. The fairies may have taken the site later, as they do elsewhere, turning human boundaries into their own.

In pasture, on break in S-facing slope. Roughly circular area (32m E-W; 29m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 4m), with heavily overgrown external fosse SW->E. Entrance to SE.
