Cropmark of fosse of roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) visible in aerial photograph (CASAP, July 1989); possible entrances to E and W (W entrance with overlapping terminals). Linear cropmarks, some at right angles to each other, in same field may be levelled field boundaries. Ringfort (12857) c. 200m to NNE; levelled ringfort and circular enclosures (12859,13654,13656,13657) in fields to W and S. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
