Why this matters
A local fairy fort (ringfort/rath); wider significance not recorded.
What is recorded here
Situated on a gentle NE-facing slope. The cropmark of a circular feature (diam. c. 30m) defined by a slight fosse or drain W-E-SSW is visible on Digital Globe (2011-13). From the terminal at SSW the fosse returns to the interior and describes a small rectangle (dims c. 12m x c. 12m). The enclosure is cut by the cropmarks of N-S and NW-SE post-medieval drains. It was first reported by Jean Charles Caillére.
