What is recorded here

Discovered from an aerial photograph (L. Swan, SMR file). On a gentle, NNE-facing, pasture slope near the N-foot of Lyons Hill (OD 651 feet), in former demesne grounds. A very poorly preserved sub circular area (int. diams. 34.3m ESE-WNW; 30.2m NNE-SSW) is defined by a broad, low earthen bank (Wth 5.6-7.7m; int H 0.2m; ext. H 0.7-1.5m) which is reduced to a low scarp (H 1.5m) N-NE. A small meteorological station (dims. L 1m; Wth 1m) encased in concrete is embedded into the top of the bank in the E sector.
