What is recorded here

In rough hill pasture, on a NW-facing slope, overlooking Kenmare Bay. A circular area (diam. 8.9m) defined by a low grass-covered bank (Wth 0.75m; H 0.2m) of earth and stone. The SE portion of the interior is cut (D 0.3m) into the upslope and the NW portion is raised (H 0.3m) to compensate for the hillslope. The interior is level. There is a relict field boundary (KE109-001035-) c. 40m to the NW and another relict boundary (KE109-001032-) is c. 120m to the SW. There is another enclosure (KE109-001034-) c. 45m to the N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
