Why this matters
A local fairy fort (ringfort/rath); wider significance not recorded.
What is recorded here
In pastureland. This roughly subrectangular enclosure (c. 41m NW-SE; c. 40m NE-SW) was brought to the attention of the Survey by Jean-Charles Caillère who identified it on Google Earth satellite imagery dated March 2011. A field boundary overlies the enclosing element from NW to NNE. Subsequent aerial imagery suggests that the monument is levelled. Another enclosure (GA097-174----) lies c. 530m to the ENE and a cashel (GA097-049----) lies c. 255m to the SE.
