What is recorded here
In grassland in flat pasture with good views in all directions. No surface remains visible. Described in 1982 as poorly preserved enclosure which was partially destroyed consisting of one bank and outer ditch (Cahill 1982, vol. 2). Indicated as a roughly circular tree-lined enclosure on first edition OS 6-inch map (1840) and on the 2nd (1953-4) ed. The W half of the monument is depicted as a raised platform (map dims. c. 45m N-S) with an external fosse running from SE-S-SW. A sketch plan and section of the enclosure was drawn in 1953 (OS Field Memorandums).
