What is recorded here
In flat undulating lowland, in pasture. A sub-circular enclosure (diam. c. 60m) identified by geophysics (Nicholls 2017 unpublished Geophysical report; Deery and Crowley 2017 unpublished EIS) carried out in advance of a proposed solar farm. One of a number of enclosures (KK004-043----; KK004-044----; KK004-045----; KK004-048----; KK004-049----; KK004-050----; KK004-051----; KK004-052-; KK004-053---- and KK004-054----) identified in the vicinity by geophysics. The N portion of the enclosure is cut through by a field boundary running roughly E-W and the NW sector is damaged by a field boundary extending northward from the E-W boundary. The entrance appears to have destroyed by these later field boundaries. Adjoining this enclosure to the S is a large sub-rectangular enclosure (KK004-048----) or annexe, with rounded corners and an entrance along the E side. A field boundary, which appears contemporary, runs south-eastward from the SE sector and another runs S from the SW angle of the annexe. The monument is not visible at ground level.
