In a hollow on top of a broad NW-SE ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 24.5m N-S; 22.5m E-W) defined by a gapped earthen bank (Wth 2.8-3.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.05-1.45m) ENE-S-WNW and by a scarp (H 1.4m) elsewhere, separated by a fosse (Wth of top 6.8m at N; Wth of base 5-5.7m; D 0.4 - 0.75m) SE-W-NE from an outer bank (Wth 2.7m at N to 4.2m at SE; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 0.5m) NW-ENE and ESE-SSE. The entrance (Wth 2.5m) in the inner bank is at E. A NNW-SSE field wall truncates the outer edge of the fosse at W. Rath (RO016-064----) is c. 170m t the W, and holy well (RO016-066----) is c. 160m to the SW.
