On a NE-facing slope. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 28m NW-SE; c. 15m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.4-2.9m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.25-0.35m) NW-SE. There is no visible fosse or entrance, but a quarry was dug inside the perimeter at E. The monument is truncated by a WNW-ESE field wall at S and nothing survives visibly S of this feature. A trial trench (99E0561) just N of the perimeter (Crumlish 2000a), and monitoring (00E0279) of roadworks (Joubert 2002) just to the W did not reveal any outer features. The possible rath (RO035-086----) is c. 150m to the NW.
