On a knoll of the gentle N-facing slope of a drumlin. Subcircular area (dims 73m E-W; 64m N-S), which is used as a haggard and occupied by farm-buildings, defined by an earthen bank (at W: Wth 4.7m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 2.2m) and hedge ESE-SSE and at W, which is reduced to a scarp (H 1.3m) NE-ENE and SSE-SW. There is an outer fosse (Wth of top 3.5-5.5m; Wth of base 1.2-2.8m; D 0.4m at W to 1.1m at E) which is reused as a field drain NE-E and ESE-SW. There is no visible entrance, or evidence of the perimeter W-NE. It is utilized as a farmyard.
