What is recorded here

On the crest of an E-W spur. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 27.5m N-S; 24.5m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.2m at W to 4.5m at S; int. H 0.2m at W to 0.55m at S; ext. H 1.4-1.75m) which is reduced to a scarp (H 1.45m) NW-N, separated by a fosse (Wth of base 4m at S to 6.6m at N) from an outer earthen bank (Wth 3.5-4.2m; int. H 0.8-1.7m; ext. H 0.2-0.8m) NW-E-W. The entrance through the inner (Wth 6m) and outer (Wth 5.5m) banks is at E. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
