Craiglockhart, Castle Greg and Castledykes may mark a Roman road, though no stone or trench has forced that certainty. The names still sound like a cart wheel striking a stone edge, repeating across miles of lowland Scotland. If boots did press that line, they pressed it long before human memory could hold the shape of the road.
