Craigmillar Castle Park preserves the lost route of Lady Susan’s Walk, where a secluded path and locked gate once carried her from Inch House toward the castle. She probably paused at the top of the tree avenue to watch the land roll away, while a maid waited beside the gate. That private journey is mostly buried beneath later houses, but the park still keeps its shape: grassland, young woodland, old quarry edges and the distant claim of the castle. To walk it now is to share a lane that time nearly erased.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Craigmillar Castle Park as Boundary Wall (period Unknown). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
