Castlehill in Edinburgh marks a lost chapel active through the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. It stands beside the castle rock, where stone, distance and memory still touch. The exact grade and condition are not known, but the name preserves a small religious life that once shaped the hill.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Edinburgh, Castlehill as Chapel (16th Century) - (17th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Edinburgh Castle, located on Castlehill, has been held by the Royal Scottish and later British Crown since at least the 12th century, with significant fortifications built during the medieval period. It remains a symbol of Scottish history and resilience, and is one of the most important and frequently besieged castles in British history.
