Castlehill in Edinburgh keeps a Roman coin buried beneath centuries of footsteps. The hill has watched armies march, merchants bargain and children chase each other from castle shadow to city lane. A small disc of ancient trade still waits under the pavement, patient as the stone above it.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Edinburgh, Castlehill as Coin (roman). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
