This blue commemorative plaque records: Out of the Blue Drill Hall. 1901 Designed and built for the Royal Scots by renowned architect Sir Rowland Anderson. 2002 Purchased and refurbished by Out of the Blue Arts and Education trust. 2016 Awarded 'A listed' building status by Historic Environment Scotland.
Robert Rowand Anderson was a prominent Scottish architect known for his work on numerous significant buildings in Edinburgh, including the Out of the Blue Drill Hall; he is remembered for his contributions to Scottish architecture and urban planning.
