Castlehill in Edinburgh holds an unnamed culvert and archaeological features, still buried beneath the city. The stones may have channeled rain, waste or life itself through rock long before roads appeared. People walked above while water moved below, invisible but essential. The hill remembers both: the footstep and the hidden current.
