This grey commemorative plaque records: Montagu House (Grade II) Early C18th house with a fine Georgian facade. Home of the Montagu family, whose coat of arms is above the door. Captain Edward Montagu R.N., who served with valour in the Napoleonic Wars, lived here. Recorded plaque organisation: The Beccles Society.
