Castlehill House stands in East Renfrewshire, Scotland, where a mound and quarry mark the earth beneath a building first documented as a tower house between 1560 and 1900. The main structure may date to the late eighteenth or early nineteenth century, while two rear wings arrived later, suggesting the house grew rather than appeared whole. Local tradition claims an ancient keep once occupied the site, though no trace of that earlier fortress remains visible today.
