Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Yellow Craig as Long Cist(s) (early Medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Early Medieval long cist; a simple burial structure indicating local funerary practices of the period. Its presence contributes to understanding of early Christian or Pictish burial customs in the region.
