Tyninghame

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Tyninghame as Barrow (later Prehistoric), Sunken Floored Building(s) (medieval)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

A Neolithic or Bronze Age barrow, possibly later reused in the medieval period; its significance lies in reflecting long-term landscape use and ritual practices in southern Scotland.
