What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort on a Kilkenny terrace, watching the Dinin and Deen rivers meet beneath rolling pasture. Its shallow bank and worn entrances suggest people once lived there, while local story reserves the circle for fairies. The fort holds both truths at once: human hands shaped it, and imagination still occupies it.

On a terrace between the upper and lower slopes of the valley side, overlooking the confluence of the Dinin and Deen rivers, in rolling pasture. There are good views across and along both the Dinin river valley, but the Deen river valley is obscured by higher land. A roughly circular platform (max. diam. c. 30m) with a low, wide bank (Wth 3m; int. H c. 0.4m; ext. H 0.6-0.8m). The S edge has been truncated by a field bank. There is an entrance (Wth 3m) at E and another (Wth 2m) at the NW, both have been cattle trampled. There is a pond c. 20m E of the monument.
