Bord Gáis Eireann laid the Curraghleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline beside Rathmore in 1984, dragging a forgotten circular enclosure out of the pasture and onto the aerial photograph. The pipeline cut the ancient circle in two, yet the green cropmark still traces its ghost across the field. Dunkip keeps its own time, measuring centuries in gas and shadow rather than stone.

In improved pasture immediately S of townland boundary with Rathmore. Ringfort (LI031-025002-) lies 350m to E. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a circular cropmark from examination of aerial photograph (BGE 1:10,000 No. 37) taken 03/11/1984 associated with Bord Gáis Eireann Curraghleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline. Visible as a circular-shaped cropmark on Digital Globe orthoimage and as a partial cropmark (diam. c. 26m) transected at NW by a post-1700 field boundary running NE-SW on Google Earth orthophoto dated 28/06/2018.
