What is recorded here

Castlecreavie is a rig and furrow field in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, preserved from medieval through post-medieval farming. The land still carries the shape of repeated ploughing, suggesting people worked there across generations rather than building one grand house. It is not a castle at all, despite the name; it is a field that kept its rhythm long after the farmers left it quiet.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castlecreavie as Rig and Furrow (medieval) - (post Medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
