Castle Kennedy Airfield, Domestic Camp was a Second World War military camp in Dumfries and Galloway. It is no longer an active base, but the land still carries the shape of that urgent time. Rows of simple buildings may have stood where grass grows now, feeding men and women caught between home and war. The camp has vanished from daily life, yet it remains marked in the national record, waiting for someone to walk past and imagine the noise inside.
