Knockmarlin

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Knockmarlin as Burnt Mound (prehistoric), Cairnfield (prehistoric), Rig and Furrow (medieval) - (post Medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

A burnt mound and cairnfield of the Neolithic or Bronze Age; associated with early agricultural activity and ritual practices. Its combination with medieval rig and furrow indicates long-term land use in the area.
