What is recorded here

Kirtlehead is a medieval tower house in Dumfries and Galloway, recorded in the national historic environment register. It stands as a private ruin rather than a public attraction, but its walls still belong to the region's memory. The exact position is known to within ten metres, sharp enough for a visitor to imagine the building without pretending the door is open.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Kirtlehead as Tower House (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
