Broadwall is a possible medieval castle in Dumfries and Galloway, recorded only as a point near a real place rather than a mapped building. It may have been a tower, a boundary mark or a forgotten defensive post, but no visible structure remains to prove which. The name suggests breadth, as if a wall once crossed open land and someone stood behind it watching the dark.
