Winner of the Coventry Olympic Trials 1908. Competed in London Olympic Marathon 1908. Winner of Bristol, Cheltenham, Pontypridd, Malvern, Peterborough, Glastonbury and Edinburgh Marathons Recorded plaque organisation: Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council.
Jack Price, born in Neen Sollars in 1884 and died in Halesowen in 1965, was a notable long-distance runner who competed in the 1908 London Olympic Marathon and won several marathon races across Britain; he also founded the Halesowen Athletic and Cycling Club in 1922.
