Terraced two-bay three-storey former house over basement, built c. 1830, as one of terrace of three. Now in use as apartments. M-profile pitched roof, shared brick chimneystack with clay pots, brick parapet having carved granite cornice. Brown brick, laid in Flemish bond, to walls, with cut granite plinth course over lined-and-ruled rendered wall to basement. Square-headed window openings having granite sills, render reveals and replacement windows. Elliptical-headed door opening with moulded render surround. Masonry doorcase comprising fluted Doric columns supporting Greek key frieze terminated by laurel wreaths, carved cornice. Timber panelled door and petal fanlight having coloured glass. Shared nosed granite steps flanked by wrought-iron handrail with cast-iron boot-scrape to platform. Square-headed door opening beneath steps. Basement area bounded by wrought-iron railings. Yard to front (north) elevation enclosed by cut granite plinth wall surmounted by wrought-iron railings with decorative cast-iron spear-headed finials and claw feet. Matching gate having round-headed side panels with anthemion motif. Set back from street.
