What is recorded here

Indicated is a crannog in County Mayo, Ireland, though no further details have survived to describe its shape, age or the hands that built it. It may have been a small island house, a fishing platform or a forgotten anchor point in a lake that has since drained or shifted. Whatever it was, it still belongs to the land, waiting for someone to walk past and imagine the life it held.
