What is recorded here

Located towards the E end of an E-W drumlin ridge. The standing stone is marked only on the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map. The stone (L 2.55m Wth 0.3-0.8m; T 0.55m at wide base; T 1m at centre; T 0.2-0.25m at top) is now prostrate and tapers to a rough point at one end. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
