What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history has thinned to myth. Its name sounds like a pointer rather than a place, as if the land marked itself for people brave enough to notice. The clay may still hold the shape of hands that built it, waiting for rain to reveal what forgetfulness has swallowed.
