What is recorded here

Drumcoe holds a broken ring of earth and stone, wide enough for a dozen people to walk beside one another before the grass takes back the middle. The southwest gap is narrow, perhaps an entrance, perhaps only the place where the bank collapsed under rain or hoof. A house, a shelter or a boundary marker may have stood there before memory faded, but the field keeps its own counsel and refuses to explain itself.

Internal diam. 22.65 E-W, 21.8m N-S. An almost circular area enclosed by a bank of earth with some stone. The bank is up to 1.1m in height. A 1.3m gap to the SW may be the entrance. The interior is overgrown. The site is located on fair pasture. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
