What is recorded here

Drumantine holds a rath, an ancient earthwork where human hands shaped the land before written memory. The soil remembers footsteps, firelight and the weight of ordinary life. Much of the story has faded, but the shape remains, waiting for imagination to complete what time has taken.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
