Hut site in Dromroe (glanarought By.)

In rough hill pasture and cutaway bog, on a SE-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Dromoghty River and within a relict field system (KE101-089002-). The remains of a D-shaped hut site (3m NE-SW) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.7m; H 0.4m) which protrudes above the surface of the bog and by a straight SW side (4.6m NW-SE), formed by a relict wall of the field system. There is an entrance (Wth 0.6m) at SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
