What is recorded here

Dromorebrague hillfort has stood in County Down since the Iron Age, when people shaped the land for defense and daily life. Its scheduled status means the earth itself is still considered worth protecting. The hill may have hosted markets, arguments, births and burials, though no name survives to mark them. What remains is a place where human urgency was strong enough to reshape stone and soil, and the state still treats that urgency as live.
