Enclosure in Drombohilly Lower

In rough hill pasture, on a break on a N-facing slope, overlooking Kenmare Bay. A subrectangular area (5m NE-SW; 3.4m NW-SE at SW side; 1.4m NW-SE at NE side) defined by a partially collapsed, roughly constructed drystone wall (T 0.7m; H 0.5m). Some lower course stones are set upright at right angles to the line of the wall. The interior is obscured by rubble and the NW portion is raised (H 0.3m) to compensate for the hillslope. There is a hut site (KE109-001027-) c. 14m to the E. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
