On flat gently waterlogged pasture, with good views in all directions with the exception to the E where the site is overlooked by a hill. It has been partially incorporated into the townland boundary with Doonvullen Lower that runs along the N edge of the site. Enclosure (LI023-177--) conjoined to W side. Enclosure (LI023-254----) located immediately to N of townland boundary abutting the N side. Enclosure (LI023-346----) located 30m to S. The site is not depicted on historic OSi maps but is visible on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-12. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 18002 on AP 4/3689) and by the Discovery Programme in 1996 (McCloud Photo AB 9, Limerick OS23) as an enclosure (ext. diam. 40m N-S; 32m E-W). The site consists of a crescent-shaped area defined by a low bank (Wth 5.5m) with an external fosse (Wth 3m). The enclosure is faintly visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018.
