What is recorded here

On a rise in grassland. Well- preserved subcircular rath (N-S 38m, E-W 32m) defined by a bank and external fosse. Traces of an outer bank are visible at WNW. A gap at E may mark the original entrance. (Killanin and Duignan 1967, 304-5) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
