In undulating average pasture, overlooking an area of rough wettish land to W. The location is in the NW corner of a modern rectangular field, bordered by a road at W.
This monument is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular ringfort-sized enclosure (diam. c. 20m); it is not shown on later map editions. There is no visible trace at ground level. According to local tradition, there was a burial site at or close to this location, possibly (MA038-142----). There is a rath (MA038-111----) 200m to NE.
