Situated on a low rise in gently undulating pasture. Raised circular area (diam. 34.5m) enclosed by on the W half by an earthen bank (Wth c. 5.5m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 2m) and elsewhere defined by a scarp (H 1.1m). At the outer foot of the bank and scarp is a wide, deep, U-shaped fosse (Wth 3m) with an outer bank. The outer bank (Wth 5.7m; int. H 2.4m; ext. H 0.9m) is best preserved at N–NE. At E–S the fosse and outer bank are truncated by a modern NE-SW field boundary. At SW–W the outer bank has been modified and incorporated into a field boundary.
