What is recorded here

Situated at the SE side of a rise in poorly drained pasture. Raised circular area (diam. 25m) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 2.8-3m; int. H 0.6m at N, 1m at S; ext. H 1.2m at N, 2m at S) which has been modified and incorporated into the field boundary from E–S. At the outer foot of the bank at W–NW is a wide, shallow depression (Wth 5-6m) which may mark the site of a fosse. A break (Wth. 2m) in bank at N possibly represents original entrance. There is a second break in the bank, probably modern, at SW. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 19 January 2011
